NATO- You have to know history to really appreciate the greatness of NATO! Make no mistake about it! NATO is one of the greatest and most effective alliances in the history of the world.The last two world wars were fought in Europe. NATO united many European countries in an effort to prevent future wars in Europe and defend the future aggression oif the Soviet Union. When the Soviet Union fell apart, former European countries in the USSR quickly sought, and were granted, admission to NATO. Finally, when Russia invaded Ukraine, Sweden and Finland sought, and were granted, admission to NATO. NATO plays such an important role in checking Russian aggression in the future as wellk as serving as a deterrant to other countries that might seek to attack fellow NATO members. There has neen talk in recent days about the United States pulling out of NATO because the United States did not receive their support in the war in Iran. I applaud NATO members for not assisting the United States in an undeclared, unconstitutional and unjustified war. NATO members would be right ar our side if we in the United States were ever attacked. NATO members are our closest friends and allies in the world. They unite to make our world a safer place. You have to know history to really appreciate the greatness of NATO! Does the president of the United States know history? If he did, the United States would support and strengthen NATO and not hurt this great organization in any way!!!
